               일상을 영어로 말하기 / 생각지도 못하다.

 

 

 

  I had a problem with my car the other day

     So I took it to the mechanics the only one in my neighborhood. 

 But they were closed!

 

  I guess I should've called first and checked.   

 But it was weekday afternoon!

 It never occured to me that they might be closed.

 But it turns out (that) they close every Monday,

 

 

 

       며칠 전에 차에 문제가 생겨서 공업소에 가져갔어요.

       저희 동네에 유일한 공업소예요.

       근데 문을 닫은 거예요.

       제가 먼저 전화를 해서 확인을 해야 했던 거겠죠?

       근데 평일 오후였어요!

       영업을 안 할 수도 있다는 것은 생각지도 못했어요.

       근데 알고 보니 월요일마다 쉬더라고요.

            I have a problem with something : 문제가 생기다

 

            they were closed : 문을 닫다

 

           they open : 문을 열다

 

           It never occured to me that : ~라는 건 생각지도 못했다

 

            they might be closed : 그들이 문을 닫을 수도 있다는 것
